More powerful, more efficient. The Nissan Interstar’s 2.3 litre dCi Twin Turbo engine is available in 110HP, 135HP, 150HP, 180HP (Euro6D-Full) or 130HP, 145HP and 165HP (EuroVIe). All delivering powerful performance with fuel economy (from 8.3L/100Km on 150HP FWD WLTP)[1] . Service intervals of up to 25,000 miles or every two years contribute to Interstar’s Total Cost of Ownership.
Front-wheel drive
Benefitting from a lower kerb weight and chassis height, front-wheel-drive allows more payload and easier loading. Low kerb weight contributes to better fuel economy compared to the rear-wheel drive.
Rear-wheel drive with single or twin wheels
Rear-wheel-drive is the traditional choice for specialist bodies using the chassis-cab. It allows your load to be better distributed front to back, ensuring improved handling. If you manage heavier duty applications, Twin rear wheels are also available for a better towing.
Six- speed manual gearbox
A six speed gearbox is standard, offering easier pulling in the lower gears and more relaxed cruising in top. Mounted on the dashboard, the gear lever is conveniently placed and leaves floorspace free.
Six speed semi automatic gearbox
The six speed semi automatic gearbox, a manual robotized gearbox available with the 150HP and 180HP engines, gives two pedal driving.
Grip system
Nissan Interstar Extended Grip System optimises traction on surfaces such as mud, sand or snow. It helps maintain grip to get you moving, while Hill Start Assist holds the van with the brake for you on tricky hill starts.
