How does it work?

Nissan e-POWER operates by combining an internal combustion engine (ICE) with an electric motor to create a unique driving experience. In this system, the electric motor drives the wheels directly, providing instant torque and a smooth acceleration feel similar to that of a fully electric vehicle. The ICE engine, however, does not power the wheels; instead, it serves as a generator. When the battery runs low, the engine kicks in to generate electricity, which is used to power the electric motor and recharge the battery. This setup allows for seamless operation, where the vehicle automatically manages power between the electric motor and the gasoline engine without requiring any input from the driver.
