1. Check your tread depth
The legal minimum tread depth for your tyres is 1.6 millimetres, measured across the central three-quarters of the tread all the way around the tyre. For your safety, it's a good idea to replace your tyres before they reach this legal limit. Regularly checking your tyres can save you from 3 penalty points and a hefty £2,500 fine for having tyres that are worn beyond the legal minimum on your vehicle.
2. Correct tyre pressure
The right tyre pressure really helps maximize grip and extend tyre life, all while reducing emissions and boosting fuel efficiency. Tyre wear can happen for several reasons.
